Madagascar : Conforth training to prepare the Francophonie Summit

Malagasy Government is taking seriously the preparation of the Francophonie Summit  to be held in 26 – 27 November 2016 in Antananarivo. For an event of this scale,  the “art of welcome and receiving” is too much important. Therefore,  the Ministry of Tourism (MinTour)  and The Consortium of National Organism in Restoration Training - Tourism and Hospitality (CONFORTH) in collaboration with the National Office of Tourism in Madagascar (ONTM) are organizing  capacity building training sessions for guides, kitchen,  serving and lodging staff.

The initiative is funded by the Organisation Internationale de la Francophonie (OIF) and aims to notice better quality service offered by major links in tourism value through the professionalisation of active staff. The training are oriented toward technical know-how improvement for staff in tourist facilities  including officials and / or suites during this important agenda of the Francophonie.

In this context, the program partners aspire to train guides and 900 employees from accommodation establishments regardless of their types (hotels, Guest house, charming hotels or restaurant ...). Originally scheduled for major sites that will host the Summit, namely in Antananarivo and its outskirts, training will expand throughout Analamanga  and Vakinankaratra regions including Mantasoa and Itasy Antsirabe from 22 August until October. Participants will be certified by the MEETFP and will be the pioneers of the support program for the Professional Experience Valuation in tourism sector.

Interested Tourism facilities  and  staff are invited to contact the CONFORTH at 034 19 440 88 or This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
